Individual Psychotherapy

Individual psychotherapy is one type of therapy in which a trained professional helps a single person work through personal issues they have been facing. It is an effective treatment for a variety of emotional difficulties and mental illnesses.

Couples Counseling

Couples therapy provides a safe, structured place for partners to explore their unique perspectives of the relationship. Discussions about past events in a relationship, changes in perspective, and what lies ahead in the future can feel overwhelming and difficult to navigate. Diane serves as facilitator who remains neutral in this process and can help provide support and structure to make these discussions easier to navigate, while respecting both individuals’ views.

Family Therapy

Family therapy is when family members attend therapy together to improve their relationships and functioning. The members of the family who attend is not predetermined, and reasons for seeking family therapy can vary.

Anxiety Treatment

Anxiety is a normal and often healthy emotion. However, when a person regularly feels disproportionate levels of anxiety, it might become a medical disorder. Anxiety disorders form a category of mental health diagnoses that lead to excessive nervousness, fear, apprehension, and worry.

Living with an anxiety disorder can be a long-term challenge. In many cases, it occurs along with other anxiety or mood disorders. In most cases, generalized anxiety disorder improves with psychotherapy or medications. Making lifestyle changes, learning coping skills and using relaxation techniques also can help.

Depression Treatment

Depression is a mood disorder that causes a persistent feeling of sadness and loss of interest. Also called major depressive disorder or clinical depression, it affects how you feel, think and behave and can lead to a variety of emotional and physical problems. You may have trouble doing normal day-to-day activities, and sometimes you may feel as if life isn't worth living.

More than just a bout of the blues, depression isn't a weakness and you can't simply "snap out" of it. Depression may require long-term treatment. But don't get discouraged. Most people with depression feel better with medication, psychotherapy or both.

Health and Relationship Changes

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

How to begin treatment

Prior to start of any treatment, it is important to determine if the fit between patient and counselor is good one. We require and provide a preliminary consultation to evaluate the relationship and review options for treatment. This consultation is free of charge.

Diane also offers professional training services for counselors.
